Hiit Fat Loss

should i do HIIT for losing fat? but im worried about burning muscle?
because i also do weight training, but have doin a constant 4mph fast walk when i do cardio bc i hear slower cardio is better for fat burn. im looking for muscle building/shaping and fat burn, not necessarily weight loss number wise, since im 5’7″ and 156lbs
but now i hear tht HIIT is actually better for fat loss, and i actually used to do it when i did my initial weight loss when i was at 217lbs
so basically, stay at 4mph constant pace or HIIT???
i just figured at the intense parts you would be prone to muscle burn
I would hit up running stadiums or the stairmaster, from my personal experience it helps out much more.
